This area is like a park and right in front of the Royal Palace. Right through the park is the opera hall. There are a lot of statues. It’s a nice spot.

The Plaza was full of horse manure, although I didn't see a single horse the whole weekend. Quite strange and dirty

You just need to walk around it to discover the garden and to feel full quietness in this marvelous square.

Very nicely tended plaza in front of the national palace with many statues of important Spanish figures. There is a central statue facing the Opera house. Many places to sit and relax, which makes for a nice respite.

This is a wonderful choice for a nightly stroll or for a cafe stop. We choose to have ice cream at The Cafe del Oriente. The view of the Royal Palace was magnificent. It is just fun to relax and “People Watch”

This area was lovely. Very welcoming to walk around and wild away half an hour or so watching the world go by. Gardens were well maintained

This comes as a part of the Royal Castle package... nice, large park, with monuments, trees, bushes, walkways, flowers... together with the Castle and surrounding buildings gives you a very nice feeling and overall understanding of how Madrid is (and was).
