This is not a tourist trap. Located in the exclusive Salamanca district. Very clean, exclusive local products, fresh and beautiful, nice athmosphere. All kind of fish, fruits, vegetables, ready meals...Little bit hidden corner but easy to find. I visit this every year.
Excellent fresh food market tucked away in the back streets of the barrio de la Salamanca.
Wonderful produce on all the stalls and packed with locals shopping for fresh produce.
Lots of food stalls to have a great lunch. If you are in an apartment...More

Walking through the very stylish shops close to this market we did not expect the local flavour that is what Madrid is all about. The pretty unattractive entrance did nothing to encourage us in but once inside the stalls and food on show was brilliant....More
This local food market in the upscale Salamanca neighborhood is not on the tourist map and that's what makes it worth visiting. Gourmet, artisan foods available to go or to be eaten at the market. Seating is limited. Attached to the outside of the market...More
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighbourhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of
opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
