The station dates back to the late nineteenth century and was one of the main stations linking Madrid to Irun and other destinations. The role has now moved to the newer Chamartin station. The station now serves the metro (Principe Pio) and the Renfe commuter...More

The station is nice with good facilities. Quite a few sleeping bums or other addicts hanging around the place. Aside from that it's all good.

The old "Estacion del Norte" is the building that now hosts "Principe Pio Mall". Amazing architecture and interesting to see the process of urban regeneration and transformation.
