Toledo and Segovia Tour with Alcazar Entrance from Madrid

1,016 reviews
Visiting both Toledo and Segovia in a day from Madrid is near impossible without a car rental and some serious time management. On this trip, you get to see both cities as a guide charts their history, minus the stress of organizing transport. Plus, you’re certain of seeing the key sights, including Toledo’s Primada Cathedral, and Segovia’s Roman aqueduct and Alcazar. Ideal if you’re pressed for time and want a day out of Madrid.

We always pay a visit here when in Madrid. They do pretty boxes of violet sweets for 2 Euros that make great gifts. I prefer their sweets to others I have tasted as the violet flavour is strong but is nicely balanced by a sharp lemon flavor. We have also bought chocolates here as a present and have been told that they are very good though we have not tasted them ourselves.

This store is just so cute. Their sweets are beautifully packed and so tasty. We love getting the small tins as souvenirs to our friends and family visiting Madrid.

Our friend was excited to show us LaVioleta during our walking adventure in central Madrid. It is a candy store with lavender sweets in the shape of violets. They are beautifully presented in a variety of styles and unique to Madrid so make the perfect gift to take home. Definitely recommend a visit!

This shop is so very tiny that only a few people can go inside at a time. When you are inside, however, you feel like you’ve stepped into a different world or time. The violet candy is so beautifully packaged, and the decor of the store is so quaint and old fashioned. It doesn’t seem real! The boxes of candy come in many different containers and sizes, and it makes an excellent souvenir or gift for loved ones at home. The store is so old and quirky that you feel like it belongs in a Harry Potter novel! We loved it, including my boys!

This very tiny shop offers a bit of Madrid traditions. La Violeta sells violeta sweets, a typical candy that it is savored in Madrid for ages. The Canalejas square, where the shop is located is nowadays a nightmare because of the works they are doing there, but, it used to be one of the most beautiful places in Madrid
