Have just done a review of the Plaza de Cibeles when it really should have been of this building! It is well worth paying the entrance fee to go up to the terrace and see the spectacular views of Madrid .

It is a must-see in Madrid. It is a building from the 18th century and very close to the legendary Cibeles fountain.

The building is the main post office. It is actually one of the most famous in the city center. Every visitor takes a photo from here.

What impressed us both was how massive these building were and also in what great condition they were in. This was in spite of their age.

Great place to sit and rest in comfort. Free entry. Decent cafe. Main attraction are the views from the 8th floor terrace. Only 3 Euros. Entry is controlled but only waited 5 mins and this ensured it was not crowded.

There is no need to take a tour to this place. You just enter the building and walk around. There is a restaurant on the roof.
