One of the nicest grand railway stations I have seen in Europe - worth paying a visit just to see the place (just steps away from the Reina Sofia Museum (the Guernica site).

Well, this is not the typical train station. There are a lot of shops inside, but what are you gonna surprise the most is its indoor tropical garden. Perfect place for having a relax time before you get on the train.

Direct connection from the metro to trains for interurban travel. Be sure to check tickets directly with Renfe before paying more with tourist operators. Easy to access and most staff speaks some English.

Yeah, I forgot on Renfe - then it should be also OK and possible to change fast, e.g. less than 5-10 minutes ;)
