The Church of San Isidro honors San Isidro, who is the patron saint of Madrid. The church has many followers who were from Seville and there are copies of the statues of the churches from Seville.

We came across this most beautiful of churches as we were wandering around the eclectic and vibrant neighbourhood of La Latina. The church has stood here proudly since 1664 and although I never visited the interior of this church I was awestruck by the sheer...More

The church is quite beautiful and spacious inside. We stopped in during a Sunday service and it was standing room only. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Lovely church to the patron saint of Madrid. The brown of the pews is soft and warm making the church a welcoming and embracing environment for worship. Worth sitting there for a while and breating in the calm.

This is a magnificent church. The side chapels are not to be missed. Magnificent domed church and in beautiful condition. the pews are well used. The sculptures in the side altars are interesting, a great place to get out of the summer heat.

The former Jesuit church interior is a wonderful sanctuary of peace as well as a work of art. Design in 1620 and finished in 1664 by architect Pedro Sánchez, this Baroque church in central Madrid was the provisional cathedral until 1993, when the current Almudena...More

La Latina is a charming neighbourhood with two unique
personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly
old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among
charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like

characterized by a young population and a bohemian
vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection
of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other
