Great group, great host and great food!
It is a very nice way to discover Madrid.
(But) Make sure that you bring € 20,00 each for the rest of the evening. This tour only includes the foods and drinks of the first tapasbar.
This was our first visit to Madrid and were only there for 3nights, so we thought this would be a good idea to get our bearings - and we were not wrong!
Ivan was a great guide - enthusiastic, informative, fun and kept everyone involved....More

I joined this tour with recommendation by our travel agent, with my sister. The meeting spot was easy to find, and the guide, Charlie, gave us a night tour of Madrid, as well as Spanish food culture. We enjoyed each restaurant (4 of them) and...More
Our guide Ivan was charming and a great host. He shared interesting bits of lore about Madrid as we walked the route, and was generous with information about what we were eating and drinking. Ivan also made sure that everyone had as much to eat...More

A truly fantastic, memorable introduction to Madrid and its tapas bar scene. Miriam was our excellent, informative guide, and together with fun company, well chosen venues, this is a unique tour not to be missed!
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as
desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.

I remember my fitbit that day being over 5 miles and I maybe walked 2 outside of the tour. That being said, I walked from my hotel to the meeting point. Your parents could taxi to the meeting point and taxi back to the hotel. That still would probably make it a good 2 miles of leisurely walking. I hope that helps.
The longest walk we had from one venue to another was a little over 10 mins. The rest were approx 5 mins max. At the end of the night we finished at a location and James was very happy to help with taxis so not problem... More
