Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was surprised at the content of this museum. Very well laid out and put together. Right in the middle of Logrono so easy access if in the city. Free entry. If you have the time this museum is worth the visit.

We really enjoyed stopping into this free museum. It provides an overview of the region’s history starting with prehistorical artifacts and ending around the 1800s. I particularly enjoyed learning about the pre-Roman Celtic people that populated this area, which I knew nothing of before. The exhibit starts on the first floor and goes up (I say this because we misunderstood the receptionist and started on the 3rd floor, and ended up going backwards in time). They have a nice selection of art and artifacts and did a good job of trying to cover the bases in terms of domestic, commercial, cultural, and religious life.

In this museum, which is totally free, you can discover the local color and the history of La Rioja through the time, from the prehistory to the 20th century. The museum was very well organized, well explained and what most impressed me is that the pieces are from different parts of La Rioja, so you have the possibility to see the different cultures and economic, artistic activities contained within this Comunidad Autónoma, this region of Spain. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. If you pass by Logroño, don't miss it. It is also located in the middle of Laurel area, full of restaurants and bars to eat delicious tapas and wine

In this day and age free entry is unusual but that is what you get here. From prehistoric times to more modern paintings by local artists this museum is certainly worth a visit.

The square itself is amazing. The restaurants are full from 3-4 pm for coffee and a bite, and a good glass of local wine enjoyed at any time. You ask for a good white or red, and every glass I had, I enjoyed. The museum was basic, but good to know the region and how it developed if you want to understand the terroire.

Logrono is a proud and pretty city which tries to offer the maximum to its visitors. And for free!!! The museum was very well organized and everyone can be sure to find something of both genuine interest and amusement for themselves. It presents an array of beautiful and intriguing pieces of art from the past and present and also a lot of historical information supported by great artifacts. The museum staff is extremely friendly and highly professional. Thanks for a wonderful experience :)

This is a well layed out museum and has many rare and complete finds from pre-historic and Roman times. We did have to show some ID to be allowed in so make sure you have your passport or driving licence with you.

This relatively small museum is very well done and worth a visit while in Logrono. It does a very good job of covering the long history of the region. It will only take about one hour to tour the museum but it will be time well spent to learn the history of La Rioja.
