Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tapa bars and d drinks. Not crowded this time of the year. Save yourself time and go after 7Pm. Most are closed before that. Or go on a Saturday night if you enjoy the crowd.
Make sure to try the Mushroom tapa.

This is the place to be for pintxos and wine in Logrono, in my opinion. Not quite as crowded as Calle Laurel, greater variety of options-- something for every taste-- and top quality food and drink. Vendors are friendly, customers are happy, the street is alive. In many ways, this is Spain at its best.

This isn't a large area, and you don't go here to be "seen." It was recommended to me by a resident as the least likely to aim to specifically cater to tourists, and I believe it. Caracoles (small snails) and anchovies with different combinations that we are not used to seeing (actually, we aren't much used to seeing anchovies sold at all!) are for sale on the street, as well as standby bacalao and iberico and ternera.

This review is making me hungry! I'm going to make a pintxo for myself now.

Calle San Juan is second in the five drinking streets of Logroño with a large margin both from the first place, and from Albornoz, San Agustín and Travesía del Laurel. San Juan has a lower concentration of tapas bars than on Calle Laurel. 28 bars at 150 meters. On average, 1 bar every 5.4 meters. This is a lot for an ordinary Spanish city, but not for Logrono. Laurelle boasts a concentration of 1 bar every three meters (65 bars at 200 meters). Accordingly, the phrase "everyone who enters comes out of here with a trunk and on all fours"fully applies to Calle Laurel. But you can stay alive on Calle San Juan or choose one of two positions. That's why I ended the evening here after Laurel.

We stayed an extra day in Logrono because if the food, the people and the energy surrounding this wonderful city. Old town is all about walking and going resto to resto for their specialty dish. Octopus, jammon and wine. Tapas or pintzos as it is referred to meaning small bites. Wow. Want to go back again!

Narrow street near Paseo de Espolón is full of cafes where you can sample pintxos and have a glass of good Rioja tinto. Calle San Juan was very bright and festive during the Fiesta de San Matteo - we were lucky to be in Logroño on that day.

We had the best tapas and came back twice. Very friendly staff. Please try Foie Micuit and Boletus Estofados.

Great street with a large number of Tapas restaurants and locals eating.
Enjoyed being able to view all the dishes between the planned...and people drinking.
