We decided this time to go up the Med steps , which was harder than the previous times coming down. Definitely worth doing though, you get to see areas of Gibraltar that are still natural

We happened to accidentally take this walk, it's not well signed and other people just looked and didn't venture down the first case of stairs. We did this walk from the top of the rock to the bottom, down to the Pillars of Hercules and...More

The Med Steps is a top activity for a visit to Gibraltar. It is now a significant part of the World Heritage listed location and the government has noticably improved the walk since my first visit nearly 30 years ago. Whilst it is steep in...More

The Rock is interesting and you should really hire a guide to make sure you see as much as possible. Most likely, you'll only do these sites once in your lifetime.

We walked up the steps in mid May. We had a clear day and it wasn't too hot. The steps are tough, but well worth the climb. The views are outstanding. We saw lots of native plants and once we reached the top we saw...More

Well worth the climb. Go back down via the Charles V Steps. (Only pity they increased the cost from 50p to £5. Was that really necessary?).

I literally cannot believe these 'steps' have such great reviews. As someone who walked around the entire rock twice, walking up and back down and all around, I consider myself to be fairly comfortable with walking and reasonably fit. I was really looking forward to...More

A little bit of a climb so you should be reasonably fit or take it slower. The views are really worth the effort.

Yes you cam take dogs on the Med Steps but it's not recommended as you might bump into some macaques and the monkeys like to attack dogs. So better to go without a dog.
