This is definitely not a walk in the park but still highly recommended. You get to climb around and up (and up and up!) the very southern tip of the rock. The views towards Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Gibraltar coast are amazing. Along the...More

We took the cable car to the top of the rock. There is a regular path that will then take you down the mountain. However, my husband decided that he wanted to go down the steps. This path is extremely difficult. The steps, where they...More

Those steps definitely made me suffer in the sense that they are quite narrow and steep. You’d better pay a lot attentions when you are there. They lead you to other sightseeings.

The Med Steps are a challenging set of steps cut partly into the rock of Gibraltar that meander up to the top in varying degrees. Some areas are difficult to navigate but if you do take on the challenge then you will be treated to...More

It's a great path which isn't used too much. I would recommend coming down the steps. Than you save the best for last and won't you mind the road (and all the taxi's so much). Going up with the road is rather easy and you...More

A little bit difficult to find the start of the path, and we had a bit of similar confusion near the top when there appears to be a dead end - it isn’t but the path is not entirely obvious. It’s a mixture of steps...More

Highly recommend trek up the Med steps, although you have to get a clear day of which there are normally quite a few. You are guaranteed lovely views from the upper rock. Take your time and make the most of the scenery.

Mediterranean Steps is definitely the most pristine and memorable way to get to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar. The whole path from the ticket counter to the top takes between 45 and 60 minutes, and is steep at times. It is not exposed,...More

Strenuous but worth every gasping step! The views across the Med are second to none. Its steep and the steps are often sloping paths but I've managed it several times now and I am a lot less than fit. No good for walking disabilities though...More

If you are reasonably fit and capable of walking over uneven paths, then the steps should be on the bucket list. Quite an arduous walk, but done at your own pace easily manageable. The bus driver will show you where to get off on the...More

Yes you cam take dogs on the Med Steps but it's not recommended as you might bump into some macaques and the monkeys like to attack dogs. So better to go without a dog.
