Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This wide and 260-meter-long beach in the heart of Paseo de la Ribera is very popular with all audiences.
It is usually the first beach to put hammocks and parasols at the beginning of each beach season. At the end of April, it seemed the most inviting beach to our eyes.

we had a lovely day on the beach, from 10am to 6pm. We rented 2 comfy sunbeds and an umbrella from 'Jimmies' at a total cost of €21, much more comfortable than the sand!!.
Nice sheltered beach, loads of people, locals as well as holidaymakers. Lifeguards patrolling and watching all day. You can go quite far out in the sea and still only be waist deep, so nice and flat and sandy underfoot.
The constant hawkers are annoying, the same woman asked if we wanted a massage about 8 times!, initially I tried to be polite and say no thanks but by the end of the day I closed my eyes and ignored them, there were just far too many and too frequent.

Lovely views in all directions. Avoid the aggressive itinerant salesmen. If you buy anything you only have yourself to blame

This is an in-town, convenient beach that is located across from the La Santa Maria restaurant down to Hotel Calipolis. It is a great option for a beach right in middle of town. There are portable bathrooms available (at no cost). Also there are beach chairs and umbrellas which can be rented at a cost of 21 euros for two chairs and one umbrella. There are attendants who come around and serve drinks and plant of fast food options on the beach to purchase burgers, hot dogs and fries. If looking for the gay beach, look for the gay flags and go to the right of the flags (as you face the ocean). The straight side is to the left of gat flags. There are several beach toys and slides available for those with kids. Either side of the beach is perfect for families with kids (left side) or the gay boys looking for the perfect body international crowd (right side)

This beach sits allong side the main 'Gay Beach' of 'Bassa Rodona' on the sea front promenade. Very popular and becomes an 'overflow' area for the Gay Beach during the afternoon when all the spaces on the beach are taken. (Especially during pride). This is a mixed beach with families, with bar services and food available from the beach kiosks.
Annoyingly, too many beach vendors during the afternoon.

The beach was clean and well maintained. The city really needs to get rid of the people selling cheap junk on the avenues. It’s annoying and detracts from the beauty of the city.
