We visited here on the 27 December 2017 and received a great welcome from the young lady on reception, she explained very clearly, in English, how to interpret the museum and it’s artifacts. We found the museum very interesting and it gave one a good...More

This museum is much bigger than it first appears and is dedicated to Girona from pre history through Roman times to modern day. There are some lovely and ancient artefacts and a lot to take in. There are English (and other language) interpretation sheets in...More

Extra friendly and helpful lady in reception but place it self did not offer anything if you can't read Catalan. Lady told that English texts are coming this year.

Girona is a fantastic city, small and very romantic. I am not into museums but this one is a good starting point. Once you get to know the museum which is very rich in history, go all over the city!

Firstly, we didn't know about the TiquetM6 Museum Pass which gets you half price off the other 5 once you've paid full at the first: we would have done more museums if we'd known! This museum is a bit of a curate's egg, they've attempted...More

It only cost us like 2 euro to get in with the Girona museum pass (since we already paid full price at the Jewish museum). The museum is poorly laid out, confusing. One floor has English pamphlets and the next floor is only in Catalan....More

If you love history this is the place for you. Make sure you leave at least 2 hours to work your way through both the underground ruins where you can walk through the old streets of Barcelona and the displays upstairs. Whilst not as awe...More
