Lovely bus trip from Girona to the lake. Had a stroll around the lake in the sunshine (wish we'd brought swimming gear as the water looked so clear). Well worth the trip as getting out of the City was rejuvenating.

This lake is not only beautiful but is also quite and full of natural life, such as ducks and lots of fish. It is allow to fish in some places and regulated. I do not like this but for you fish aficionado may be interesting....More

It's perfect is the day it's not too windy. If you make the full round may take less than 2 hours. You could park for free very near and also could enjoy a vermut at the dock

We took the bus to Banyoles and it’s not obvious where you need to get off and after finding the lake I must say it’s ok but only ok it’s a nice lake with a walk round it .

"swimming outwith these dates is forbidden" but so is releasing your turtle or landing your plane... so wonderful swim. beautiful spot, clear water, fish , ducks, sunshine. everything a swim should be.

Loved walking along the lake and the historic district. We had a walking map that included lot of places of interest in the old town.

About 45 minutes from Girona/Figuares this is a pleasant area with some traditional spanish houses/villages and a couple of nice restaurants on the lake where most tourists stop. Lots of backpackers,guess its a good camping area.
