Here is the newest part of Barcelona, at the end of the street there is a huge mall and amusement park. For the difference from the rest of the city, here it seemed very calm.

A beautiful tree-lined street if one needs to walk or even drive along it; however, it is not worth walking or driving along for the sake of it, there are more interesting streets such as Passeig de Gracia and La Rambla.

This is a pleasant tree lined boulevard that carries a lot of cross-town traffic and is unlike the streets in the old town. It is well-maintained and has a number of parks and garden areas and for a big city road it is surprisingly pleasant....More

Not all of Barcelona is dictated by the Vella. Apparently a need manifest for a cross town transportation corridor. In true Barcelona style, a wide swath was cut and then punctuated with exquisite architecture and sculpture.

A very long and wide boulevard, cutting diagonally the town in halves.Nothing really unusual along it.Just a regular boulevard. There are other more interesting streets in Barcelona.

If you don't mind to walk, make yourself a tour. At one of the main streets (and nearby) of one of the most beautiful cities on Earth, you will definitely find examples of truly impressing architecture.

I read that this was an exciting place to see things. It is basically a long straight road. It was ok to wonder down but nothing special.

A little overrated as an attraction. It's just an arterial road with some exceptional structures used as roundabouts. A nice walk but...

This avenue is far superior, in every way, to walking the Ramblas. It has high end and regular shops, gelato parlors, places to sit outside and have coffee, and more important than anything does not have anything near the crowds or trashy stores you will...More

We walked from the Passeig de Gracia along the Avinguda Diagonal. There are many old buildings in this area that are beautiful. There are many restaurants and interesting stores too.
