Neighbourhood: Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.

I was In Escuela Cocina Sabores the last tursday. Sabores is in Gracia's neighbourhood. Is really easy to arrive by subway. We were around 10 people and I think that it was one of the best experiences in my trip. Firstly, we started with a short presentation about us in order to meet us( country, job or studies, why we were in Barcelona.....) After that, We cooked a lot of things such as escalivada, gazpacho, seafood paella, spanish omelette and cathalan creme. All food was really tasted. Great experience and great staff. Really easy to book!!!!!

My girlfriend and I went to this class and were running late and the young lady at the door was waiting outside for us, great customer service. Once inside Chef Sebastian took us on our journey and was and excellent guide. I have a food business and so does my girlfriend and we provide healthier options for ethnic & traditional foods. It was great to see and meet a chef who provided those options too. His knowledge, personality, and energy made this one of my favorite cooking classes I've taken. He instructs, explains, and entertains, what more could you want from a chef. If your in Barcelona definitely do this class and the Sangria is an added bonus. Buen Provecho !!!!

I went to this class with my wife, we really love spanish food and have always wanted to know how to make paella! We learnt to make paella, spanish tortilla, gazpacho and something called escalivada, they also gave us sangria, which was great! The best of all was that we got to eat what we cooked!!
The kitchen is in the neighbourhood of gracia, which a very cool area of barcelona with lots of shops, bars and restaurants.

If you want to learn how to cook paella (and not just 'rice with things and lemon on top') then go to Sabores!
When close friends of mine from Helsinki recently visited, I made an effort to make sure they did not fall into the tourist traps. They had seen this course of paella near La Rambla at a flipping price of 78eur per person! I immediately recommended going to Barcelona cooking classes by Sabores. I knew Sabores from before, I had attended 2 courses there (sushi and cupcakes) and I knew they have really qualified cooks who know a lot of tips and offer easy to follow recipes that teach you a lot of tips.
I joined my friends for the traditional cooking workshop course and I was really impressed. At only 45eur per person, they are offering a great deal with the real things us Spanish people eat. It entails preparation of 3 starters, a main course (paella) and a dessert. It all felt very authentic, like someone’s mother ‘s cooking.
My friends were very impressed and very much enjoyed the experience, as so did I.
The best part is that you get to eat it!

I had an amazing experience at Sabores. I always wanted to learn how to make a good Sangria and I think I have become an expert. The staff was amazing and the food that we cooked delicious. I would recommend this experience to all Barcelona tourists because it's genuine, the ingredients are top and the profesionalism a must. Thank you!

A friend recommended this place, and on a weekend trip to Barcelona we decided to take part in a sushi course. We booked through their website and received a confirmation email straight away. We had some trouble finding the place, but after a quick phone call to the manager (he speaks great english!!) we found it in no time.
The course was a lot of fun, we had no idea how to make sushi, but by the end of it we had some decent california rolls and makis, which we have since perfected at home!!! When i go back to Barcelona, if i have a couple of free hours in the morning or afternon i will deffinetly check them out for a course!!
