Beautiful and really big botanic park. We spent there few hours being almost alone. Has a lot of beautiful plants, trees and of course palms! Also you can see capital Santa Cruz and make fotos of if from far. Really enjoyed walking around even though the weather was not good and was raining a bit.…

On a headland overlooking the port of Santa Cruz and the coast sits this attractive and well maintained botanical garden with exhibits from Africa, the Americas, Madagascar, Oceania etc. The visit is enjoyable with some fantastic viewpoints and unusual plants and costs a little over 6 euros per person. We found it an enjoyable wa to spend a warm afternoon.…

Just about 20 years, but a great spot to learn about palm trees and other plants from all southern regions! Great spots to rest and enjoy the views!

Even if you don't, actually the Palmetum in Santa Cruz was just pure awesome. We absolutely loved seeing the exotic plants and flowers from all over the world, ranging from Brazil to India, to the Canary Islands, to Morocco, Madagascar, Australia, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, etc. etc. Simply splendid. And just so cool, literally! It was 34C° when we were there and the lovely trees provided a lot of natural shade for us to cool down too. Honestly, words can't really describe the colors, the patterns, the styles, so in essence, the diversity of the flowers and plants on display. Just go see it for yourself. Must-see 5/5…

Some very interesting plants, and a wonderful history; regeneration of a site. Tranquil. Lovely place to wander with friends. We saw quite of few of the birds claimed, including. A little egret..magic
