This is mostly natural history with some archeology and anthropolgy thrown in. Some English with the videos and some displays. The part on volcanoes was particulary good. Make sure to eat in the stylish restaurant - very gaudiesque decor and interesting and unusual tapas (first Japoburger...More

Came here to look at the history and the mummies but all the exhibits are in Spanish which we don’t speak so couldn’t find anything about the place ..surely and English translation would be prudent

Excellent museum, detailing the history of the Canary Islands and with some fascinating exhibits - skulls, mummies, cross-section of volcano, archaeological finds, flora and fauna, etc. Well worth a visit.

Well kept museum with multimedia experiences. The natural and animal part of the museum is very well detailed but the human part is lacking a lot of guanche history, but maybe that wasn't the scope of the museum.

At only €3.50 for non resident OAP's it is very good value. It is well laid out and very informative especially when you have worked out where to get the English translations( these are the white cards in boxes on the wall for each section)....More

We visited here first as an introduction to the island. You can download the audioguide on your phone which gives English info on certain key items, not everything. Most signs are in Spanish only, but there are cards in other languages in some rooms. There...More

I would have enjoyed this museum much more if it wasn't for my bored 5-year old! If you have small kids with you – probably better if you go elsewhere. I think it's a great place for adults / older children if you want to...More

This was a through museum covering the biodiversity, archaeology and natural sciences of the Canary Islands. There's an audio tour available in English that you can access via your phone. It was really fascinating and I enjoyed the archaeological tour more than the natural sciences...More

I had some time to kill in Santa Cruz and spent a few hours in the museum. I really enjoyed it, but some of the exhibits appear quite old and outdated (particularly those concerning the formation of the Canary Islands). The Archaeological collection was very...More

Lack of English guidance or notes on the exhibits makes it hard to engage with the exhibitions. As a result, not really worth €5 to get in.

We spent more than hour here, but - as many said - we would spend much more if the informations were in English. There is, however, a free english speaking smartphone app, but in this case I would recommend you bring your headphones with you.
