Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wednesday 20th October and we visited this Mirador which is located by the entrance to the Tunnel Arure along GM-1. Too be honest it was not very clear what was here, so we stopped to investigate

There is a small parking area just before the Mirador, easier to stop here when travelling towards Valle Gran Rey.

We climbed the stone steps up to the well designed and constructed viewing platform. There are wooden picnic benches along the platform, a place to sit and enjoy the stunning views.

At 800 metres above sea level there are commanding views down the ravine and the surrounding mountains and rugged terrain

There are a number of information boards around the Mirador giving information about how the area was formed.

While we were reading one of them, a cheeky little lizard came to have a look at us.

Viewpoint with views of the Arure ravine. Different from others that overlook the Garajonay or other areas. The viewpoint is well prepared to be able to stop without problems.
