Twos up on a camel, your ride lasts around 20 mins and that’s enough. It’s funny, not too smelly and it doesn’t look too bad for the camels.

A pleasant way to while away an hour is to go on this camel ride. The drivers appear to be very caring of the animals and they were careful to ensure that there was an equal weight distribution on their backs. Certainly a good bit...More

Good price for the ride, 12 euros per camel, if there is just one person they use sand bags to make up the weight the other side. Our kids 13 and 14 had a ride on the camels in December, they loved it, lots of...More

Great value at only 6 Euro per person. If you’ve never been on a camel before then this is a real ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ experience. Just remember to hang on tight when the camel gets up or down!!

Great fun! 6 euros per person is good value, for a shirt 25 minute camel ride (which to be honest is all you need!) Camels looked well cared for - for such a large animal carrying two normal sized people doesn't seem too bad. There...More

One of the main tourist attractions of this otherwise lunar lava and dry island is the "camel" rides. They have built a cage the carries 2 people on either side of the hump for about a 1/3 mile. Some of the Dromedaries were friendly and...More

Yes, these camels are here for the tourist and are led BUT they are not coerced in any other way than by voice requests. I thought these animals were in good condition and happy. They got lots of rest breaks and the handlers were very...More
