We visited one evening, it was almost sunset, and we took some beautiful pictures. There are plenty of restaurants so I guess it'a nice having a drink with a view. However, Arrefice is not as beautiful as Puerto del Carmen or Playa Blanca, so we...More

One of the highlights of a visit to Arrecife. This is a lovely picturesque area close to the city centre. It is a tidal lagoon with walkways all the way around and a good selection of bars and restaurants. The perfect location to waste some...More

After a spot if lunch? A nice drink? Stop at any of the great bars/restaurants and enjoy the view. Lovely views out over to the church with good footfall. Really busy and a sun trap too. View from a bar on Charco San Gines

This is for us the nicest part of Arrecife ! The inside port has a lovely promenade with many bars and restaurants where one can enjoy the sights !

Don't. miss el Charco if you visit Arrecife. It's a lovely blue lagoon with several traditional Canary restaurants where the locals congregate. We have visited it many tmes and it never fails

The town hall of Arrecife have done much to improve their little capital over the past few years. One of its jewels is El Charco with its pleasant prom and wooden bridges, its fishing boats moored in the water and general relaxed pace of life....More

Stayed 11 nights in Arrecife and most evenings went for a stroll around El Charco. Lots of bars and restaurants border one side with bridges and causeways encircling "the puddle". Arrecife is a pleasant provincial capital and El Charco is a particularly attractive aspect of...More

It is a pleasant 20 minute walk from El Reducto beach to the restaurant strip of the Charco. On Saturday there is a small farmers market by the church in El Charco de San Gines.

I concur with the last poster. There may well be apartments adjacent to the harbour, so I suggest you contact the tourist board in Arrecife and I am sure they will be able to give you a definitive answer. Regards... More
