We visited this as part of a day-long Island Tour organized by Tui. Definitely a must-see. The way this house was constructed using the lava bubbles is quite interesting. It has a certain seventies-feel to it. The works of art are less my sort of...More

Fantastic house and gallery, well worth 8euro admission, house built onto a lava field, look out for the window in the big gallery where you look out across the lava to the volcano and the flow is contrived to appear as though it has come...More

A home in lava bubbles, I want to live there, it's very special. And some amazing works of art on display as well. So why only 4/5? Simply because it's so busy so difficult to get around without being hustled and bustled. Not sure what...More

This man was an artist and architect in the mold of his friend Joan Miro. The "foundacion" is a must-see museum exhibition for any visit to lovely Lanzarote. Just google it for details and see for yourself.

Really interesting place to visit, lots of information, videos, etc. Easy and cheap to get there on local buses. Plenty of time to explore. We really enjoyed seeing how he lived. Nice coffee shop - 2 coffees and 2 cakes less than €7?

My third visit and I still love going there! The building is amazing – primarily built into lava bubbles and has amazing views too. The artworks are well presented and include lots of work by Cesar Manrique but also work by other artists. Even if...More

This is actually a review of a visit to the foundation’s headquarters at the house Cesar Manrique built on his return from America (as opposed to the house/museum on the North of the island). Cesar was an artist and basically the architect for modern Lanzarote,...More
