Without a car, it´s impossible to discover the island, especially the Caldera de Taburiente National Park. You can make nice walks here, the whole island is a walkers paradise. When you drive around the crater there are nice photo opportunities.

Walk from the visitor centre up the well marked paths, first part was through the cloud which is always there, emerge to blue sky’s once you reach 5500 feet then a very hot walk to the bothy overlooking the caldera views to die for.

Beautiful view from the top. Not handicap friendly. You are above the clouds and you can get some fantastic photos. The weather is very cool and you should dress for both hiking with the right footwear and clothing. Well worth the trip.

Amazing place for hiking along the rim of the volcanic caldera. Several trails start from the car park at 1300 meters’ altitude. The easiest trail goes in a circle, takes you to several stunning viewpoints and takes an hour an a half if you stop...More

Absolutely stunning location - even the very limited car park is in a breathtaking spot. It is high level scenery with native Canary Pines and huge mountainous peaks. It is a walkers wonderland - but not one to be underestimated as distances are long, and...More
