Lovely piece of history in las palmas , beautiful old buildings , narrow streets , architecture it self should not be missed, it’s a must do if you’re in Las Palmas for a day.

Not being a lover of architecture or history, I was amazed by how much I enjoyed visiting Vegueta and wandering round the narrow streets and always remembering to look up as this is where the dramatic architecture flows out of the buildings in a series...More

Vegueta is the historic city of Las Palmas, but it is much more than just history. It is a living, breathing part of the city with the most beautiful buildings on the island. The alleys are brimming with street cafés/restaurants. To the south, at Santa...More

The old town is a charming place with quaint little cobbled streets and squares. I would recommend taking a walking tour to learn about the history of the place.

Even though this is our 5th visit to Las Palmas, we've never been here before. Historical, nice, clean, attractive places , concentrated within walking distance. However, carefully choose cafes, sometimes you can be disappointed with the food points.

We spent 3 days here then 4 in the souyh. We should've stayed here. We could get buses easily to loads of other towns. It was quieter than the south and had loads of nicer shopping.

There is a public parking directly at the market hall in Vegueta. Don't know the prices. It is easy to find as it is directly between the atlantic ocean and the market hall (red building) ;)
