I made a last minute decision to travel to Bilbao. I had done no real research on the city other than talking with friends about the Guggenheim. Stepping off the bus I had no idea how to find my hotel or what to expect for...More

It was difficult to get information if you're not speaking Spanish. It was just fortunate that when we got here, we had someone translate for us. We did get great information from them.

If you don't speak Spanish - or, like me, your Spanish is only up to ordering food & drink, don't bother. It's a really complicated system to get to speak to an advisor - there are no leaflets, just screens (only in Spanish.) If you...More

Most likely the staff will not be as knowledgeable as you want but they have all the literature you need and will be happy to offer you lots of brochures that are really helpful.

They are very helpful in there and they speak good english so no problem being understood. Definitely worth using as you can purchase your ticket for the train/bus/tram system there and also get a map and find out what is going on at the time...More

Bilbao taxis are generally reliable. It be worth checking with the hotel to make sure that there is a driver or get them to make the taxi booking with a firm confirmation.
