I went with a large group of students to the Museu del Pueblu d'Asturies in Gijon. We enjoyed walking through the open-air exhibits, which included several different horreos (granaries), a typical Asturian home, a cider house, and a mill. The exhibits were beautifully presented, including...More

And in the outdoor area,...More

Beautiful museum exhibiting all types of artifacts from all around Asturias. Excellent collection laid-out in three floors, plus adjacent buildings (located in the grounds) depicting Asturias living standards from over a century ago. Definitely worth the visit!

Worth a couple of hours wandering through the this museum to gain an understanding of the history of Asturia. Artefacts from many centuries ago until 1950s and 1960s are on display. It is near the local football stadium which is also worth a look.

Excellent museum but spoiled for foreign visitors by an almost total lack of translation into any other language. If you can speak and, more importantly read Spanish, then it is fascinating. Spent a whole morning there and could have been there longer.
