Not the most beautiful, but worth seeing whilst in Zaragoza. More so the bridge near the basilica where you get a fantastic view. From the bridge we saw ducks & duckings in the river, along with lots of enormous fish swimming about.
Well the Ebro is only famous, because he is next to the cathedral. But the river itself is not that impressive, because he is also quite dirty. But when are on one of the bridges, which cross the river, you can take some awesome pictures...More
Nothing particularly special, doesn't even dominate the city although there are many interesting bridges over El Ebro and a walk along the banks is as enjoyable as any other river that flows through a city.

I did see people rowing each morning on the river but dont know which club/group they were from, sorry. They may have been uni students, but hopefully someone else will be able to answer you more specifically.
