A Roman amphitheater in the middle of the city near the main plaza. It’s always amazing to see and that they have been preserved in what must be a valuable piece of real estate!!!

The best part is the tower adjoining the walls here you may find a very good tourist information office and you can climb the tower

Just looking at these walls makes you think about their makers. Nearly 2000 years old and looking as solid as when they were constructed. Amazing.

The remains of the walls are a reminder that this is a very old city. The area is interesting during the day, but even prettier in the evening when it is illuminated.

Not a ruin to see on its own but while walking between the Pilar Cathedral and the palace it is worth going buy to see the different walls and construction.

Quite amazing to see unprotected Roman ruins in the centre of a modern city - usually there would be some sort of cordon around them, at least. Located between the central market and the Plaza del Pilar, and 'guarded' by a statue of Augustus Caesar...More

In the town named after Augustus, these ruins remind us of how greatly spread the Roman Empire was, and this area was developing a reputation for wine back then.

To see a length of ruins preserved in a metropolitan city center. Seems out of place, makes for a nice surprise. History right in front of you. Makes you stop and think.
