Puente del Alamillo is quite an engineering achievement, not only for its designers and builders but also for Seville and its leaders. It was constructed to be ready for the 1992 Expo held in the city. And it has proved to be a stunning feat. It is a symbol of Seville's dreams and aspirations and you get this feeling when looking at the bridge from a number of different perspectives. We walked on it and also had a different view from a tourist bus from some distance. Amazing. Not to be missed.…

Drove past this bridge a few times and it’s a really impressive structure - the main spar/pylon can be seen from a distance (see my pic taken from top of Setas de Sevilla in city centre). It opened in 1992 as part of the Expo 92 infrastructure with no cost spared!

You can see why it has been used as a model for many other bridges. Got to see on a bus tour and a river trip - different perspectives

We crossed this bridge on our way to/from Italica. It is a very modern symbol of a beautiful city, but they should demolish the "lipstick" tower it is hideous.
