Very authentic museum, nothing like this in other cities and countries to see it was not necessary. A lot of interesting exhibits of the era of the discovery of America. Beautiful interior interiors. Free entry. In short, solid dignity!

This place would make for a fantastic museum of Spanish Discoveries and expeditions. It houses some very important documents, like the Treaty of Tortedillas and Isabella and Ferdinand's decree to sent Columbus. However, aside from an interesting small movie - everything is in Spanish and...More

A unique building with a free entry and small crowds. Housing important archives, the building itself is beautiful. At the end is a short video which explains the history of the building and the most important documents contained here. Combine with a trip to the...More

I don't know if it was because we were there on the weekend or if it was just an off week. But when we went there was nothing on display. However it is free and I hear that the exhibits are really nice. So I...More

Free Admission to this Museum; if you need a breather, stop inside to take a look. There is a beautiful open courtyard inside where we took a few pictures. There is a nice exhibit upstairs. Stroller friendly and very quiet especially in the morning. Everyone...More

This was my first time going through the Archivo. There were some interesting artifacts: maps, models and log books, from the journeys to the Americas. There was a local school group there so it was interesting to hear the teacher explain several of the items....More

If you've some insight / understanding of Spanish history, feel sure you will enjoy this. Very much pitched to Spanish speakers but still catered for English speakers sufficiently well. Building was impressive too. Small exhibition of Murillo paintings which were nevertheless worthy of a visit...More

The place surely contains historical documents of great value, but they are not displayed. You can visit the palace (quite nice) and the current exhibition (moderately interesting), but I wouldn't go out of my way for this. Admittedly it is free, so I cannot complain...More

Primarily we went into the museum to view the things Spain had done in the Americas and the Far East. It has to be said it is in my view a bit of a sales pitch to defend some of the good things the Spanish...More

It was closed by the time I arrived here after 5pm. The exterior building is impressive, with a cross at one side of the building. Suggest you come earlier if you are keen to know more of Seville’s history through its archives.

We called in here whilst en-route to another point of interest, because the building looked interesting and … well … sometimes serendipity plays a role and one can come across unexpectedly interesting things. But, sadly, not in this instance. It’s an imposing building and houses...More
