We were unable to get reservations out of Sanlucar until the day before our tour. The tour was crowded, but interesting. It included the boat across the Guadalquivir, and a large ATV. We were so crowded that it was difficult to see everything, but we...More

If you want to do one of the many tours on offer, choose carefully. The only company that includes all of the different habitats in its itinerary is the one based at the El Acebuche Visitors Centre. Only they can drive on the beach, for...More

We walked as far as we were allowed on a boardwalk. Some information boards had English explanations but not all. We saw storks on their nests and various waterfowl from bird hides. There was plenty of parking. After our walk we stopped for a light...More

The park is not to far from Seville or Marbella. You are not permitted to drive into the park, you must take a tour. Although the visitors center has a wood boardwalk with small huts for viewing. We mostly saw different birds. There are sand...More

We took the jeep tour for 3-4 hours and really enjoyed it. Our guide/drive was totally into the national park and knew all the details. We drove through the dunes, park and in the beach. Totally worth it. Make sure that you book this tour,...More

Mid November I took advantage of a trip to Huelva and set off early from Seville so as to a visit Doñana. I had been there the year before, but the lack of water meant that the bird life was non-existent. This time, as I...More

We booked a private tour through DiscoveringDonana. They offer tours in the morning and late afternoon, of which we chose the latter. Our guide, Maria, was a trained ornithologist who spoke English well, and she showed us many unusual (even for the park) birds on...More

We visited the Doñana from the east, starting with a 30 min boat ride up the Guadalquivir from Sanlucar de Barrameda. The boat lets you off at a reconstructed traditional fishing village with reed huts. Very interesting. Then we boarded a Unimog minibus that took...More

We had a car so we drove. It's about 50km from Huelva to the Park Office at El Acebuche, thus a taxi may be expensive.
