We began our visit to the Alhambra by coming to the Generalife. The paths along from the main entrance to the Gerneralife are beautifully planted with hedges and decorated and well worth careful inspection. You can step through arches in the hedge and discover fountains...More

This is part of the extensive Alhambra property. You almost feel like you might see a Moorish king walk into the courtyard in long, flowing garb and turban. Everything is so beautifully preserved, despite the fact that gypsies actually lived here for many years when...More

The gardens are amazing and beautiful even in February. They are meticulously manicured. Although many plants and trees are still dormant it is well worth the trip. As it is part of Alhambra makes it more worthwhile.

Even in winter these gardens have charm and still hold the mystic feel of the Alhambra. The Moors set out beautiful gardens, patios, fountains and terraces.

The summer palace and the gardens are less impressive and less preserved than the Alhambra. Unfortunately, our guided tour took us to Alhambra, so the post coitum tristae shadowed this second beauty...

The first element of the Alhambra we toured. Awe inspiring views and inspirational gardens. I think Generalife means Garden of the Architect?

While walking wirh a visiting friend throught the trendy streets of 'La Latina" neighborhood, in Madrid, we came accross this wonderful and colorfull Taberna/Cerveceria located in the now famous 34 cava Baja Street. What really attracted us, was the succulent displays of "Tapas or Pinchos"...More

The generalife, even with the magnificent garden hibernating, offers great views, an interesting building, and the natural outskirts of the immense Alhambra area.

Don't quite understand what all the fuss is about, but it is still worth visiting if you happen to be in Granada. There are much more impressive gardens/buildings in many other parts of Spain

You can pay only for the Gardens, but the whole ticket (around 15€) include the gardens, the Nasrid Palaces (Palacios Nazaríes) and the Generalife, too. It is really worthwhile.

Further: The citrus trees may have fruit but the likelihood of flowers would be low HOWEVER you can certainly expect to be able to enjoy the Alhambra and Generalife with less crowds so you will be able to see the buildings... More

Hello, I was there again in April 2017 and the beds were in full bloom so nothing to worry about if April is your choice.
