The Basilica of Santa Maria de la Victoria gets very few visitors as it's a bit away from the centre but it's well worth a visit. There are buses from Almeda which go there. Exterior is very imposing and inside the Baroque interior there is...More

The prime objective of visiting this church is to enter the crypt and the Heavenly Tower. We went there on a Saturday morning, sad to find out that these sections already closed and would only open from Monday to Friday till 1:00pm. Our initial plan...More

My husband and I visited in March 2018 and loved it. The entrance is hidden underneath the main part of the church and the hospital (which is also pretty cool and has a beautiful courtyard). Walk down towards the playground to find it. The guides...More

A local taxi driver suggested we visit this church, just 10 minutes walk from Plaza de Merced. The plain exterior hides a stunning crypt and baroque tower, which take the breath away. Michaelangelo, our guide, was both knowledgeable and entertaining, and clearly passionate about the...More

We found the cathedral buried in the reviews of trip advisor and decided to make the 20 minute walk from the old town. On the outside the cathedral is unassuming, but inside is amazing! We were given a tour in English with one other couple....More

A real hidden gem in Malaga. Looks quite ordinary from the outside but the the crypt and heavenly tower is amazing. Very good guide, well worth the visit and the €2 suggested donation.

I spend some moments to enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful church and to admire the stunning baroque altars created in the mid-17th-century. Some parts of the Basilica are only accessible by guided tour, so I couldn't visit them.

Get there during the tour times. Michael Anglo is a great guide and explains in English everything about the Basilica. Do pay attention to his description of the beautiful blue shawl and it’s silver threads. The donor of this shawl has a checkered back story....More

It is a very beautiful hidden gem. De guide tells the story with a lot of passion and is not boring at all. Worth a visit.

From the conversation we had with Michael the guide it sounded pretty imminent so it may unfortunately be closed when you are there in December.

I think they are only closing part of the tower, the magnificent crypt and the museum will still be open. Definitely worth a visit.
