At the sides of the Plaza are a number of bars that are quite nice to sit in and people watch enjoying the sun. The problem I found with the square was there were a few homeless people using the benches, sadly this is common in large cities and not juts Malaga. It is actually a place of history and the centre piece honours someone who fought against the French and I believe this is where he was executed…

The blossom on the trees can be spectacular. The plaza is always clean and tidy. Excellent array of bars and cafes.

Z nice square where we watched the Carnival parade finish. Lots of space, close to the Picasso area and restaurants around. Big monument in the middle
