The symbol of the city Cadiz and a wonderful piece of architecture. The tower marks the boundary between new and old and is extremely impressive.

This is the entry to the old city. It is impressive and represents the architecture of the time. It is a very busy street so you need to be careful in crossing.

Busy entrance to Old Cadiz with main road running through the gate. Nevertheless quite a grand gate.

Very nicely preserved and refurbished. Somehow difficult to access now, as the gate is used by the traffic. But you can stop by and take some nice pictures...

The town walls of Cadiz are still impressive after all these years. The section facing the isthmus has a gateway (two actually) called Puerta de Tierra, topped with a dwarfish tower. The top of the walls are accessible for free in the daytime which unfortunately...More
