Bach was summoned here when he was only 22, and the statue outside shows a confident young man, as well he might have been, as he was already recognised as an organ expert. The organ he designed (re-built according to his instructions) can be heard...More

The Divi-Blasii-Kirche is a church in use today with church musik and organ concerts and a lettner separating the high altar area from the nave.

Organists were practicing which added a lot to our visit. The church is special for the atmosphere and history. It also adds to the history of the city.
