I’m sure the warm sunshine helped with our visit. We spend a good few hours leisurely wandering the gardens. They are superbly curated with clear labels on the plants. One of the oldest botanical gardens around. Founded by Goethe himself.

Very well maintained gardens with main roads but also small paths you can walk. In the serres, there were also beautiful butterflies!

Really cool, but small, indoor garden...maybe more medium sized. It's an excellent place to grab some warm moments in winter! What really shines for me are the outdoor grounds which are extensive and laid out in a way that feels like a real adventure. Great...More

It is a very beautiful place with interesting trees and plants but it is also a place to go to in summer to relax and enjoy the great colors and smells. Just go there to a look and make yourseld comfortable.

Really good in summer vacation, take a book, sometimes they are acting or performance music. Perfect for a pic nic, sit in a place surrounded by history, wars, but quite beautiful. I love it.

Provided a pleasant walk inside and out of the cold during winter. There a 5 conservatory areas with various plants, many tropical. I suspect its even better later in the year. Only a small amount of English on the signs describing the plants, but hey,...More
