This was a fun and relaxing walk. You see the gorge walls all around you and you hear the water flowing under the grates you are walking on.

The Drachenschlucht is a walk to the top of a hill through really narrow gap, partly above water. Due to the high walls on both sides the walk is amazing. The total stretch to the top takes around 50 minutes where the last 20 minutes...More

Very pleasant walk in the woods through narrow rock passages. Signposted route. Map available from Tourist Information. Recommend 11km clockwise round trip from Hohe Sonne (car park/bus stop) down Drachenschlucht, up Landgraferrschlucht and back down Weinstrasse. Nice views from the top. Also possible to walk...More

Nice walk, but not very impressive. As it is humid there, good to apply some insect repellent to keep the horseflies away. I did the round tour starting from Hohe Sonne through the Drachenslucht and back via the Landgrafenschlucht. This is listed as a 3.5...More

This was another highlight of our trip in Eisenach. We had no problem finding a parking spot at the side of the road. Coming from the town, the Drachenschlucht is on the right. Right before the welcome sign “Drachenschlucht” is a small lake covered with...More
