Situated high above Augustus Platz as you exit Grimmaische the clock tower is not the most interesting I've seen but well worth a look as you're sure to be in the area.

Took the city bus tour and it ends in the plaza with the opera house and the university. This building is part of the university and its one of the taller structures in Leipzig. It is on the edge of the pedestrian district in town....More

This was supposedly built to replicate the clock tower on St Marks Square in Venice. Its very beautiful but you can easily walk passed it so look up !!!
