The Goldener Reiter is definitely worth seing. It is an impressive statue and ist golden shine is remarcable. From the right angle you can take a picture with the old town in the Background.

The golden memorial to Augustus the Strong is an easy walk across the bridge from the old town. SItuated near an upscale shopping area, this memorial is best seen at night when it is illuminated. It really stands out.

You see this walking over the bridge over the Elbe. It's hard to "see" it well as sculpture since the gold is so glinty at night under artificial light. There is a small cast of it in bronze in the Residenz.
