This Schwebebahn is much shorter than the 13km one at Wupperthal, but still worth the ride. The view from the cafe at the top is impressive over the river valley, the blue bridge, and the distant city. It is easy to get to by tram...More

We too the Funicular tram and this one, this one is the only one worth doing. It's a slow ride to the top. The views over the Dresden area are fantastic from the viewing platforms. Cafe at the top.

I generally love any kind of a hanging, suspended anything, but this was a big yawn. It's barely hanging a few feet over the ground. You can't feel any motion. It's incredibly slooooooow. It's a very short ride. And it's pretty expensive to ride. I...More

I enjoyed the short trip and the view from the tower. The day was nice and sunny and the caffe on the top is simple but nice to sit, relax and drink your coffee while waiting the next wagon to come. Totally relaxed!

The Dresden Schwebebahn will help you to move to the small mountains, but later you will say thank you. With the Bus trip you will come to the Koernerplatz, I wrote about in another report. There you will find the Standseilbahn to the weißen Hirsch,...More

We bought a weekly Dresden travel ticket which included both the Schwebahn and the Steilbahn. It was a short ride up to the top of the hill on the dangling cable car. At the top there are some great views of Dresden and a small...More

The cable way is a short ride that takes you to a good lookout point. The ride is very slow and quite expensive compared to other public transport.

We were glad to find the Schwebebahn. Only had time to choose one of the two options and decided to use this one. Beautiful views while going up or down but at the top you also have the option to climb up to their deck...More
