Great collection of modern art in a very old building. Beautiful architecture. Situated adjacent to the Bruhlsche Garden if you a looking for a quiet interlude.

The gallery collection is huge (didn't expect that), reserve at least 3 hours and ask for a voice-guide (they have in in different languages, it's included in the ticket and definitely worth trying). The gallery is not crowded as the Old Masters gallery in Zwinger,...More

This shows the evolution of modern art through a relatively small collection. The sculpture gallery is most interesting as are the rooms displaying some of their stored art including Hittite pieces.

A friend recommended that I go here even though it’s somewhat ranked low on TripAdvisor. Thank goodness I did because it was worth it. “Fun” collection with a great audio guide. Would recommend over many of the higher rated museums in town.

We visited the museum on a cold January day and spent a great afternoon inside. The building itself is very modern and spacious, but still cosy. We travelled to Dresden to see an exposition “Art from the Romantic period to the present day”. We found it...More
