This church like all the rest in Dresden was destroyed by the firestrom bombing but unlike the HofKirche and the Fraunkirche it has been left plain, its original features are few but it has an air of quiet calm.

The visit here made the total destruction go Dresden during WW2 very real to me. The restoration makes it very clear. A quiet church to visit but I thing a must.

The church is really beautiful and simple on the inside as it was reconstructed many times. Don't miss the photo collection at the entrance, interesting and impressive.
