Went on evening sightseeing tour of Trier and this was one of the famous ruins of Trier. If you are interested in Roman history this is a town to visit. Will be exploring the rest of the town today.

It is my most seen monument. I visit every time I'm in Trier. The Romans did a great job without machinery or computers.

Book down town. There several sites all close to downtown. We did not stay so no help on hotels sorry.
