Our tour guide led us to this square and read the plaque to us. It was in reference to WWII. There are some cafes and shops in this square. Weren't many people out when we walked through as it was 94 degrees that day.

This central square is the hub of the city, Christmas markets and many other events are going on here. Many restaurants, cafes and pubs. The fountain dates from 1783 and had the first running water in the city, carried by pipeline from the outskirts.
