Absolutley stunning location, animals appear very well looked after and at ease in their surroundings. Easy to walk around, lots to see. We enjoyed feeding time with the sea lions, a very popular event.

Admission is really good - 15 Euros for a student (for both zoo and aquarium) it would cost £15+ for each one in the UK. Nice collection of animals and it wasn't too busy on the day we went. Elephants, Giraffes and the Penguins were...More

We had a lovely day out at the zoo. Lots of different animals and they feel much closer than in English zoos! The children had a great day and it wasn’t so big that you had to walk for ages to see things either, there...More

If you have small children, this is a nice way to spend an afternoon. At 20 euros per adult, it's expensive, but kids will enjoy it. There is a wide variety of animals, and included in your ticket, is a small, on-site aquarium spotlighting fish...More

It is sometimes quite weird to see some of the animals directly, even without any glass between you and them. :) The zoo has a throughout the day feeding schedule, so it makes sense to know it to make sure you don’t miss the corresponding...More

I am regularly visiting the zoo as I have a mother-baby 6 month pass. Every time I visit I discover something new. The hippo house is my favorite and I can sit there for at least an hour without realizing, especially when it is raining....More

The zoo is large and has plenty of animals. Plenty of trees provide cover on a sunny day. Unfortunately there is not one clear route, so you have to keep looking on the map a bit. The zoo feels a bit outdated compared to some...More

I was unimpressed with the zoo. Not that Cologne Zoo doesn't boast an impressive collection of species. It does, particularly many endangered animals like Rhino, Gorilla and Orangutans. So it is disappointing the zoo hasn't more focus on conservation. (Even recycle bins for waste were...More

It was very good quality of food at a very reasonable price. For two meals of cheeseburger and chips and two drinks we paid probably $20 or so.
