Visiting Cologne on a stop over for 3 nights with our caravan and we decided to head to the Zoo for one of our days here. Great decision as this zoo is really worth a visit! Great selection of animals who are in close proximity...More

Ideal way to spend a day, plenty to see and lots of play areas for the children. The elephants are probably the highlight of the visit. There is an aquarium next to the zoo that is included in your entrance fee. We did not have...More

I have been to several zoos around the world and this is the best by a country mile. The enclosures are well constructed and allow the animals plenty of room to move around which was highlighted by the elephant enclosure. It is the only zoo...More

It's a zoo, but its a great zoo. It's really big, got loads of animals and it was quite quiet when I went. A short walk from the centre down the river side (which is lovely scenery and lots of bars too) Recommend it if...More

Is a bit unfair but we compare zoos with our local Chester Zoo so they have to be good to impress. This is a lot smaller with most enclosures being smaller although there are some bigger ones such as the elephant enclosure. The positive is...More

Zoos can be quite depressing places with animals clearly looking bored in small featureless cages. Cologne has done its best to provide all the animals with large enough enclosures with plenty of things to keep them occupied, from trees, footballs, scratching posts, hiding food around...More

This is a fantastic zoo! The animals seem very well looked after and one can come astoundingly close to all the animals. Definitely recommend visiting this place if you go to cologne.... One bug bear are the wasps in August. Around this time of year...More

On a potentially rainy day, we decided to take a trip to the zoo (there is an aquarium attached too, but didn’t quite have time for this). About a 30-40 min walk from central old town, but quite near to an underground. We took a...More

Out of all animals I was impressed by pink flamingos, giraffes and monkeys. When taking ferry boat from Bonn to Koln, they gave us free tickets and we spent two hours at the zoo photographing and walking. This is a nice place to spend time...More

It was very good quality of food at a very reasonable price. For two meals of cheeseburger and chips and two drinks we paid probably $20 or so.

I would have thought so but vest to check their website. although we got discounted tickets for using the tram/train system think they were half price or something. possibly worth going on that website too?
