1635 Count Anton Günther built a town hall in renaissance style. In 1886 the townhall in Renaissance style was torn dow and a new town hall was built at the same locationwith neo-Gothic and neo-renaissance style elements.

It is a unique place to visit in Oldenburg from an architectural point of view. You must see it. If you need something from the town you can ask there. You can walk around and see the rest of the town.

I found the Rathaus in the city center square which was lined with shops, cafe's and a large church named for Saint Lamberti. Nice architecture with a large sculpture in front. I was told that this is where they have their Christmas Markets.

It is another place to see in Stavanger. The building is also a good architectural beauty. Situated at the heart of the city

We visited Oldenburg on the train from Bremen it only takes 35 minutes and is definitely worth a visit. The town is quaint with the square outside the church filled with log cabins serving gluwein and freshly made hot food. Well worth a visit
