Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Zoo of Death was my first experience with an escape game.

All my expectations were more than met. Adrenaline, excitement and fun I had every single minute of the just over 50 minutes we needed for the game.

Safety was a top priority for the Skurillum team.

Thanks for the experience

This is the best escape room I have ever been to (to date).
I have already tried out 4 of the 5 different rooms and I am completely thrilled. I particularly liked the Ernie Hudson cases.
If there were 6 stars, I would give them straight away.
I would do it again

We travelled from Birmingham UK to do the two Ernie Hudson rooms on recommendation, we were not disappointed, they are amazing! The set design, the story and the puzzles provide an immersive experience which has a perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment. The staff were also lovely, thank you!

We went here with friends and really had a great time solving the riddles. We played one room in English and they’ll have about two more available in English from next month. Highly recommend!

Suddenly everything is pitch black. But then! What I assumed was a mirror on the wall lights up with the face of a mad man. His hair is smooth, wavy and black, his eyes glistening and sly. He speaks and gives us a clue. The dimmed lights come back. We are in an old study. Drawers are pulled out, carpets turned around, sheets of paper spread on desks and floor. My friends and I look at each other. One's hair is messy, another's cheeks are flustered. We are searching for Melvinis book of Immortality and we are not quite sure what he asked us to do. But we are sure of one thing: we will find that book and solve his riddles. No matter how long it will take us.

We discuss, we look under carpets, we search walls, drawers and most of all our brains. We take turns solving riddles and are impressed with our different strengths and weaknesses. And in the end...

I loved Skurrilum! The staff were fun, clever and very friendly. The rooms and riddles were exciting and engaging and made me feel like I did when I was a child playing my favourite games. Go there. Even though you might think it's not for you. Go there.

We went to the Skurrilum with teens, to the ghost hunter Ernie Hudson, it was so much fun to solve the mystery. It was a perfect story, we moved completly into the story and everything was so realistic.

We played three games here over the course of the day. The two Ernie Hudson games which have been highly rated in TERP awards and rightly so. They are class. This place is in the top companies I’ve been too in the world, over 110 games played. Only the room Berlin and the game in Paris comparing favourably.

The thing that stands out is the humour in the rooms. There is great personality injected throughout and the variety of fair puzzles means the games flow really well.

The phantom island is not as good as the Ernie Hudson games which will really wow you every few minutes with something that is fantastic. Disappointed not to be able to play the seedy room as it is only available in German.

Go here it is worth the price.

With three children aged 16, 14 and 8 it’s not always easy to find an activity that fits all. A visit at the Phantom Island room at Skurrilum was for sure a great thing to do together! The room gave a very authentic experience with riddles and challenges that were not too easy for the teenagers but where the youngest could contribute with a view that the others hadn’t seen. We waited downs stairs at the entrance ringing the bell for five minutes - before we found out you’re supposed go in through a door to a stair case on the right hand side.

Quite honestly the most in-depth and exciting escape room I’ve done to date. Was with a group of 5 people in the Ernie Hudson room (the zoo one.) We had such a fun time and I would love to come back and do the other rooms. Our game master Pelle was super friendly and informative and helped us even in English.
10/10 would recommend.
Also good for English speakers! Not just German.
