If you like me , would prefer a relaxing trip - prefer being to Island like Helgoland instead of this one. Although, the containers around the city is picturesque to see from boat.

We happened to be passing the boat right at 2 pm as it was about to leave and on impulse we hopped aboard. It turned out to be a lot of fun. The trip lasted a little over 2 hours and cost only 10 euros per person, a fantastic bargain compared to the boat tours in Hamburg (which are 2 or 3 times as expensive). The coffee and cake served aboard were delicious, and reasonably priced as well. The trip takes you out of the harbor, through a lock, and out to the container port, which is fascinating to see from close up. We saw containers being moved on and off of ships, as well as a ship being berthed. The commentary was only in German, but for those who can follow, it provided a lot of interesting information about the workings of the port of Bremerhaven, including details about life aboard a container ship, or how pilots get aboard to bring the ships into port. The trip was low key, untouristy, highly enjoyable. I am pretty sure that the other boat tours offered in the harbor do not actually take you all the way out to the container port as this one does.
