Bleikeller is really worthwhile seeing. I know a lot of people that have been to Bremen a thousand times and did not even know of the Bleikeller. Check the opening times, as they are irregular and usually not convenient to associate with a city visit.

A small museum with dead bodies and their stories, what's there not to be interested in?! If you have a spare momentin, step in!

This small crypt is worth the couple euros charge - very unique - never seen such preservation of bodies. Creepy but interesting

Weird and spooky sight but also interesting , quite off-the beaten path. The mummies found during excavation works in the Cathedral are on display for those who fancy have a look at. Some line of text explains the history behind each of the mummy. There...More

One of the most amazing, yet creepy, displays I've ever seen. A must-see! The fact that this body was preserved just because of high lead in the immediate area is mind-boggling! I visited in 1990, but it's still on display.

The location itself is interesting enough, but they could really do more in terms of information. You can view a few well-preserved mummies at this location and read (very little) background information. All in all it's not really worth the price of admission, which is...More

For 1.40 Euros each, my husband & I viewed the mummified remains of 8 Bremen citizens. There was a 1-2 sentence explanation of each body but nothing beyond that. I left in less than 10 minutes with many questions. Why it is called the lead...More

After building up the courage to see the mummies, it was a little disappointing to discover that the Bleikeller and the tower were both closed. We were there on February 2014, so it may be just for the winter. If you are eager to visit,...More

A fantastic and interesting display of the mummified remains with the bodies' history (where known). A very affordable and unusual attraction. The display is creepy in an enchanting way. Certainly an excellent way to spend some time.
